SAVE THE DATES
Save the dates are optional. They provide advance notice to your guests, especially if it’s a destination or holiday wedding, to get the best deals on airlines and lodging. You can include accommodations, weekend schedule, wedding website and registry information. Quick and inexpensive save the dates can be emailed, posted to your website, or even made by phone or text! Mail your save the dates 6-8 months prior to your wedding.
Order your invitations at least 3-4 months before your wedding date so that the ordering, proofing and shipping processes are completed in a timely fashion. Invitations should be sent out 6-8 weeks in advance of the wedding. Many couples prefer to mail their invitations as much as 10 weeks in advance, especially if they did not mail a save the date or if it’s a destination or holiday wedding. Sooner is better than later. NEVER include gift registry information on your invitation or inserts!
Make your RSVP deadline at least 2-3 weeks prior to your wedding date, so that you can give your venue/caterer a final guest head count.
Additional insert cards to include with your invitations may be accommodations, wedding website, map or directions, schedule of events, etc.
ADDRESSING YOUR ENVELOPES
Use proper names and titles, spell out street names, state, etc. Invitation Express always includes complimentary printed guides for addressing, stamping, stuffing and mailing with every order.

Thank you notes should be mailed as soon as possible, hopefully within 2-3 weeks of receiving gifts. Your guests were thoughtful enough to give you a wedding gift; be courteous and thank them promptly!
